Hi! I'm Talking Egg Location Sound aka Johnny Siera. I’m an Australian-born location sound recordist based in the Northeastern United States. I'm a member of IATSE Local 481 available for union and non-union projects.

I provide high-quality production sound for film, television, and documentary projects, and when needed, I bring in a trusted crew to support larger productions.

As a location sound mixer, I take a versatile and reliable approach to documentary, television, and branded content. My work has taken me across the United States, capturing stories for major networks, nonprofits, and global brands.

I’ve worked in a wide range of production environments, including documentary series, television, corporate media, and narrative film. That experience has shaped a confident, adaptable style and a strong technical foundation in location sound recording. I’m just as comfortable working solo on a small, agile shoot as I am as part of a larger crew.

As an owner-operator, I provide professional location sound equipment and can build tailored audio or video packages to meet the needs of each production, from pre-production through final delivery.

I’m known for being easy to work with, detail-oriented, and dependable on set. I value clear communication and collaboration, and I adapt quickly to long days and the evolving needs of a production.

Clients include HBO, TBS, AEW, Nike, Patagonia, Ray-Ban, Grey Goose, Moët, Tourism Australia, The Children’s Heart Foundation, The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, The Center for Independent Documentary, and more.

Before transitioning into film and television, I built an international career in music touring and production, releasing records on labels including Ninja Tune and Dim Mak, and performing at festivals around the world, from Fuji Rock in Japan to Reading and Leeds in the United Kingdom.
